When history coordinator at St Bede's College Mentone around 1980, I introduced a Yr. 10 course in South African History. There were some amazing propaganda films available from the South African embassy at the time, so comparisons with Hitler's Germany were screaming out to be made. I have had many old boys say to me since that it was the best History they ever studied, especially in that they were able to watch events develop later with some understanding.
