I recently read a great biography about Mrs T: The Iron Lady by John Campbell. Campbell makes much of the lessons she learned from her father who was a grocer (what's that?) a local councillor and a man of strong moral character. An old style Englishman. Campbell also points out that Mrs T's son Mark was not the sort of person whom her father would admire, though he was clearly a product of the kind of Britain that she created.
One thing is for sure: Maggie will never be an Aussie Notable!
