My lovely daughter is having a birthday today. I'm much too polite to give you a number, but the fact that I have to add 40 to it is somewhat amusing. Our oldest Aussie Notable, Mary Reibey, would have turned 236 this year. But if she was still alive, she'd be dead by now, I reckon. Nellie Melba would only have been 152 and young John Flynn a mere 132. One in every 365 people in the world will be having a birthday today. That's a lot of birthday presents/wishes/cake.
