I've been doing a few radio interviews recently and one of the questions commonly asked is "Do you have a favourite Aussie Notable?" I don't. My response is along the lines that I have five kids and I love them equally. There's a sense in which John Flynn, John Monash, Mary Gilmore, Mary Reibey and Henry Parkes are now all part of the family. And we're all waiting with some excitement for the birth of Nellie Melba in the next week or two.
