There's a lovely cartoon in this morning's Age in which there's a jolly family BBQ going on front right and single figure entering back stage left. The single figure has a dark cloud hovering over him filled with dark events from Australia's history. The caption is "Who invited the Historian?" I like it! But I'm not like it! I've found more than enough adventure, humour, compassion, creativity and balance to let it all be overshadowed by the nasty bits.
