School and Public libraries buy children's fiction by the truckload, but non-fiction finds it harder to justify its place. The Aussie Notables series are as readable as Captain Underpants, are about real Australian people who are just the thing for adolescents to measure themselves against in their formative years.
If you are looking for interesting biographies for the younger, developing historian, seriously consider Green Barrow Publishing. The importance of the story in history cannot be underestimated (sic!)
